Eight New Languages Added to Blogger

I have good news for all ESL learners. Blogger announced this month that they've unveiled Blogger translated into: Nederlands, Türkçe, Dansk, Norsk, Svenska, suomi, Русский, and ภาษาไทย. This is in addition to the eleven language choices Blogger have already offered, bringing the total to 19.

FYI, to change the language in which you use Blogger, you need to go to Choose a Language page. To change your blog’s language, go to Dashboard-> Settings-> Formatting-> Language, and select a preferred language from the drop down menu.

Useful Blogging English

My compuer is always slow or freezes due to the limited RAM. I think it's pretty common for bloggers. So I made up the following conversation. These are helpful expressions in blogging as well as in the office.

• What's the matter?
• My computer is down/broken/frozen.
• My computer crashed/isn't working.
• Did you try restarting it?
• Yes, I did. But that didn't help.
• Maybe you'd better tell someone.
• Maybe you need a computer memory upgrade.

Languages Used in the Blogosphere

Do you know which language is mostly used in the blogging community? Below are numbers from Technorati’s quarterly State of the Blogosphere.

• Japanese the #1 blogging language at 37%
• English second at 33%
• Chinese third at 8%
• Italian fourth at 3%
• Farsi a newcomer in the top 10 at 1%
• English the most even in postings around-the-clock
